The land surface temperature (LST) in the central urban area has shown a consistent upward trend over years, exacerbating heat island (SUHI) effect. Therefore, this study focuses on of Chengdu, using blocks as research scale. Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT) model and SHAP values are employed to explore nonlinear effects human settlements (HS) LST across different seasons. results show that (1) At block scale, overall impact HS all four seasons tracks following order: built environment (BE) > landscape pattern (LP) socio-economic development (SED). (2) LP is most important factor affecting summer, while BE greatest influence during spring, autumn, winter. (3) Most indicators exhibit seasonal variations their LST. impervious (ISA) exhibits significant positive autumn. In contrast, nighttime light index (NTL) functional mix degree (FMD) exert negative Additionally, normalized difference vegetation (NDVI) negatively affects both spring summer. Moreover, connectivity (CNT) density (FPD) demonstrate notable threshold (4) Certain interaction effects, some combinations these can effectively reduce This reveals HS–LST interactions through multidimensional analysis, offering block-scale planning strategies for sustainable thermal optimization.

Numerous studies on reducing the urban heat island effect have concentrated isolated cold islands, analyzing their cooling impact in terms of size and shape. From an international perspective, shown that enhancing connectivity islands can enhance but they do not suggest specific processes ideas for connectivity. This study aims to investigate how connect optimize spatial pattern island. Therefore, a framework is constructed this study: source area - network. Firstly, core was identified by morphological analysis. Then, analysis applied identify sources. Afterward, minimum cumulative resistance model used construct In Nanjing, case point, results reveal total 27 areas 52 corridors been identified. 6 first-level CSAs situated northern suburbs Nanjing prevent spread effect. 2 second-level 18 third-level are scattered throughout improve climate. Ecological security pattern (ESP) represents a sound spatial arrangement of ecosystem occurring in landscape. The research on the optimization ESP aims to improve and restore functions by rationally allocating optimizing ecological elements based key issues. Constructing can enhance connectivity regional habitat patches, which is great significance for protecting restoring biodiversity, improving stability resilience, achieving sustainable development. However, it challenging task systematically resilience networks under attacks. Little has been done enhancing edge-based Based morphological analysis (MSPA), minimum cumulative resistance (MCR) greedy algorithm (GA) models, this study presents new method construct optimize ESP. Dongting Lake Basin China, typical region with rich complex landscape patterns, intensive human activities, taken as an example. results indicate that network improved its 51.62%, robustness against random attacks 41.13%, targeted 43.41%, relative initial network. Monte Carlo test verifies reliability solution. proposed be used finding structure best specific attacks, provides valuable decision-making reference land planning biodiversity conservation.

The accelerated urbanization process has led to the deterioration of originally fragile coastal ecosystem, whose slight changes in ecological environment may destroy original urban ecosystem. construction security pattern can effectively balance development areas and protection environment. This study proposes a new framework for constructing ESP areas: surfaces (ecological sources) - lines networks) points (pinch points, barrier points). sources were identified by morphospatial analysis landscape connectivity. Then, network constructed circuit theory. Take Qingdao, typical area with very environment, as subject study. results indicate that: (1) connectivity source sites 2017 2021 decreased significantly; (2) total length extracted corridors dramatically; (3) Qingdao was from perspective points. this paper provide scientific planning guidance conservation Qingdao. research proposed provides some reference areas.

Habitat fragmentation is an important factor affecting biodiversity conservation, and few studies have discussed the relationship between overall pattern of wetlands biological ecological functions. Based on this, this study proposed construction wetland conservation Ecological Networks (ENs) from perspective connectivity, a comprehensive framework for ENs. Firstly, key species were identified, habitat patches suitable egret migration analyzed by Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis (MSPA) landscape connectivity index, sources determined based policy influence. The Minimum Cumulative Resistance (MCR) model was used to extract ENs, network evaluation gravity Hydrological analysis analyze "network − corridor node" respectively. results showed that: (1) in Haikou City relatively trivial, within insufficient. There 13 potential 17 extraction; (2) ENs tends be east Nandu River, tightness 0.038, low; (3) are 45 corridors 8 sources, mainly concentrated River; (4) Identify 115, 50 66 pinpoints, obstacle points break network, propose protection, optimization restoration strategies Comprehensive identification progressive will promote further systematization protection research.
