The acceleration of urbanization has led to an increase in urban expansion and population density, exacerbating the heat island (UHI) effect. Moreover, phenomenon a significant impact on ecological environments human health. Consequently, mitigating UHI effect enhancing environment is crucial. However previous research primarily focused individual cities or regional scales, with few studies analyzing all within agglomerations. This paper conducts fine-grained spatiotemporal analysis surface (SUHI) effects Central Yunnan City Cluster from 2000 2021 using Landsat satellite data. We calculate intensity (SUHII) for 44 at county district level discuss quantitative estimation overall SUHII changes driving factors Cluster. Our findings are as follows: 1. Small also exhibit effects, 75.4% probability occurrence 2021, resulting decrease 1.21 °C. 2. temperature rate extension areas suburban faster than that central areas, which main reason decreasing trend SUHII. 3. Land use change inhibits weakening SUHI effect, contributes formation this phenomenon. Additionally, methods results study can provide reasonable effective insights future development planning Cluster, thus promoting sustainable development.
