Despite the increasing volume of research exploring impact various characteristics urban green spaces (UGS) on land surface temperature (LST), findings remain inconsistent, particularly in arid climatic zones. In this research, we examined UGS change and their analyzed relationship between pertinent variables vegetation biomass, area, shape patches LST Karaj city, an Iranian semi-arid area 2000 2020. Linear regressions were used to model patches’ LST. The results showed that biomass was more effective reducing comparison with complexity. Moreover, larger higher complexity lower temperatures. These can guide landscape optimization by providing a clear understanding which factors contribute most significantly mitigation areas. For instance, areas identified as but thermally not cold need be prioritized for improvements such planting denser or introducing heat resilient species.
