S-scheme-based hydrothermal synthesis of SiO2@CuFe2O4-AgI composites was effectively described in this work. The photo-degradation hazardous dyes like methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) utilized to test nanocomposites with variable weight percent AgI for photocatalytic activity the visible range. In terms activity, a 15% loading beat both pure hybrid composites. MO degradation, composite degrades 16 times 8 faster than pristine CuFe2O4 samples, respectively, while MB it 18.67 9.33 samples. increased surface area decreased recombination rate photogenerated e− -h+ pairs, quicker separation carriers, high redox capacity (15%) all contribute improved performance. is chemically stable reusable even after 10 cycles. Because coordinated Fermi level between AgI, SiO2 acts as transfer bridge electrons layered structure. Furthermore, scavenger experiment demonstrates that •O2-, •OH, h+ are significant reactive species efficiently aided photodegradation dyes. Current research proposes novel cost-efficient method creating semiconductor-based system viable strategy future applications.
