Abstract The photocatalytic (PC) performance of the Ag-tailored TiO 2 nanotube arrays (TNTAs) for conversion CO was evaluated in this study. A facile electrochemical deposition method employed to construct Ag-TNTAs binary nanocomposites. size and amount Ag nanoparticles (NPs) over TNTAs surface has been adjusted by limiting time anodization voltage. properties photocatalyst were determined using XRD, FESEM, UV-Vis DRS. as-fabricated photocatalysts showed improved light response compared pristine TNTAs. Among Ag-modified TNTAs, Ag/TNTAs-2 exhibited best PC rate under exposure visible light. Increasing NPs causes formation larger particles decreases electron-hole separation efficiency. boosted activity can be ascribed synergistic effect plasmon resonance (SPR) NPs, which subsequently prevented recombination photoexcited charge carriers.

Abstract In this study, we report a facile hydrothermal synthesis of strontium-doped SnS nanoflowers that were used as catalyst for the degradation antibiotic molecules in water. The prepared sample was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and ultraviolet–visible absorption spectroscopy (UV–Vis). photocatalytic ability evaluated by studying metronidazole an aqueous solution under conditions. study conducted reaction period 300 min at neutral pH, it found reached 91%, indicating excellent performance catalyst. influence experimental parameters such dosage, initial concentration, light source nature optimized with respect to over time. reusability investigated, its efficiency remained unchanged even after four cycles use.
