Global food security is a critical issue, necessitating greater attention to the relationship between agricultural productivity and ecological environment. Super-wetting materials, with their unique micro-rough structures low surface energy, hold significant potential for addressing challenges in engineering. This review explores research landscape of super-wetting materials by analyzing temporal distribution, institutional scholarly contributions, co-occurrence networks, emerging keywords. These analyses reveal strengths, hotspot distributions, evolving concepts, development trends field. Additionally, recent advances application engineering—such as films, controlled-release fertilizers, pesticide spraying—are highlighted. In future, prospects engineering are proposed combination trend, which provides support inspiration cultivating developing new quality productive forces agriculture promoting sustainable development.
