Abstract Metal–organic cages (MOCs), a novel type of porous material, have shown great potential in the adsorption and separation CO 2 gas. Zirconium‐based metal–organic (Zr‐MOCs) garnered special attention because their outstanding stability high solubility. Nevertheless, due to its powdery nature tendency for easy aggregation, application industrial field is limited. Here, drawing inspiration from water treatment, inexpensive stable ionic exchange resin D001 was employed as supporting material loading Zr‐MOCs, D001‐Zr‐MOC prepared. The capacity mixed gas (15% /85% N ) under diverse loads various temperatures, different flow rates investigated, cyclic performance determined. mechanism on probed by means energy, isotherm, heat, diffusion coefficient. results showed that maximum 3.96 mmol/g. decreased merely 4.62% after 10 adsorption/desorption cycles. energy heat molecules are relatively high, which indicates has good selectivity molecules. regarded typical Langmuir monolayer adsorption, it verified chemical reaction occurred between adsorbent. possesses higher coefficient, excellent verified.
