This study evaluated the desorption of cadmium (Cd) from cocoa waste-derived flour using organic acids. Cocoa pods were collected Antioquia and Casanare, Colombia, to analyze geographical Cd content its distribution within pod tissues. Acid selection was performed a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) matrix, assessed through full factorial 23 experimental design, considering acid concentration, pulp density, agitation speed. Additionally, oxidation–reduction potential (ORP) monitored as an indicator electrochemical dynamics process. The results indicated that Casanare exhibited higher concentrations (1.63 ± 0.20 ppm) compared with those (0.87 0.22 ppm), 49.31% metal being accumulated in pod. Parameters citric at 0.5 M, 5 g/L 120 rpm found be optimal for process, achieving over 95% efficiency. Based on ORP monitoring, heuristic proposed determine contact time during leaching. work outlines scalable process desorption, adding value industry waste applications.

Abstract Coal fly ash (CFA) is considered to be a promising secondary source for precious metal recovery. One application in the recovery of metals from CFA through an acid-leaching process that begins with roasting or alkali fusion. This research studies mineral content coal Tarahan Steam Power Plant, Lampung, 3-stage hydrometallurgy (alkali fusion, water leaching, and acid leaching). consists more than 20 different elements, main elements this being dominated by Fe, Si, Ca, Al percentages 34.915%, 26.04%, 15.83%, 12.396%, respectively. Abstract High‐purity rare earth (REEs) materials are key raw for the development of cutting‐edge technologies. However, due to similar physical and chemical properties, separating adjacent REEs from actual samples faces a formidable challenge. To overcome this challenge, an ion‐microporous metal–organic framework (ATZ‐BTC‐Zn; MOFs) is designed synthesized, featuring densely packed nano‐trap pockets constructed non‐coordinating carboxyl amino groups. The synergistic effect open suitable ions channel in ATZ‐BTC‐Zn highly responsive size variation lighter REEs. Notably, configuration Zn(H 2 O) 6 2+ counterion lanthanide hydrated (Ln(H 3+ ), facilitating efficient ion exchange between them high‐speed transport channel. This accelerates diffusion within MOF pores, enhancing utilization active adsorption sites promoting capture by nano‐traps. binary model experiments show high separation factors ( SF La/Nd = 908, Ce/La 543), demonstrating one step. capability achieves selective tailings wastewater, providing strategy infer compatibility MOFs
