The development of materials with superior thermal insulation and flame retardancy is critical for industrial applications daily life. Metal-organic framework (MOF)@poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) (MOF@PVA) aerogel composites have demonstrated remarkable properties. In this work, MIL-53(Al) was directly mixed PVA formed by freeze-drying, the influence pore structure on properties investigated. incorporated nanoparticles introduced abundant micro- mesopores, enhancing complexity improving aerogels. directionally freeze-cast achieved a conductivity 0.040 W·mK
