Biomass carbon-rich ash is proposed as a sustainable alternative in the production of ceramic materials. This study investigated this waste product, combined with kaolin and alumina for membranes. The formulations were defined based on Al2O3-SiO2-MgO ternary diagram 51 wt% biomass ash, 36 kaolin, 13 alumina. shaping green body samples was conducted by using uniaxial pressing method at 40 MPa sintering temperatures ranging from 1050 to 1150 °C. Several properties, such morphology, porosity, pore diameter, mechanical strength, chemical resistance, investigated. It revealed that increase temperature occasioned decreased porosity water absorption; conversely, it increased bulk density, size, diametrical shrinkage, flexural strength. Moreover, demonstrated minimal weight loss (<0.6 wt.%) acidic basic solutions. 31.5% 44.4%, size 1.0 μm 1.5 μm, resistance 9.0 21.0 tested pure flux bar an enhanced higher temperature, attributed resulting temperatures, observed. best-performing sample sintered °C average 1716.8 L.h−1.m−2. Also, according TGA/DTA data, these membranes have greater stability. These are suitable treatment effluents contribute reducing environmental impact increasing sustainability promoting efficient utilization resources.
