Energy plays a vital role in the sustainable development of economy and society. The key measures for achieving include optimizing energy structure, improving efficiency, reducing reliance on non-renewable sources. This study constructs monetary consumption database China that distinguishes between resources used as raw materials those other intermediate inputs, based China’s annual input–output table from 2001 to 2020. In this paper, direct conservation potential 33 industries both United States are compared under following three scopes: not excluding materials, production non-energy products, products or through non-combustion processes. also compares dependence characteristics these industries. conclusions made: First, structure varies greatly different scopes, which third scope is closest international standards. The impact of extreme floods can be significant, affecting humans, the environment and any type human-built infrastructure. A further consequence flooding is restricted access to medical facilities, including constraints more dedicated emergency services (EMS).
