The use of bioplastic, such as polycaprolactone, to substitute conventional plastic remains a problem solve. bioplastic degradation time is still relatively low when compared the rate consumption by public. Therefore, exploration indigenous bacteria with plastic-degrading potential needed. This study aims reveal isolated from Wonorejo Mangrove based on their growth in selective media and biofilm formation. Bacterial isolates obtained water bodies sediments Wonorejo’s mangrove were inoculated minimum salt addition 0.25% polycaprolactone sole carbon source then incubated for four weeks determine bacterial its total number. number was calculated direct counting method using hemocytometer. results indicated slight decrease cells each isolate. Isolate T1A.1 samples encountered 2 times initial Meanwhile, isolate T2.1, which sediments, decreased 1.4 However, enumeration did not cover that formed biofilm, observed this study. Based ability live formation agents, specifically polycaprolactone. Identification further studies both are needed get better insight into polycaprolactone-degrading agents.
