Norovirus (NoV) stands as a significant causative agent of nonbacterial acute gastroenteritis on global scale, presenting substantial threat to public health. Hence, the development simple and rapid analytical techniques for NoV detection holds great importance in preventing controlling outbreak epidemic. In this work, self-powered photoelectrochemical (PEC) immunosensor capsid protein (VP1) was proposed by π-electron-rich carbon nitride homojunction (ER-CNH) photoanode. C4N2 ring derived from π-rich locust bean gum introduced into tri-s-triazine structure, creating large π-delocalized conjugated homojunction. This strategy enhances C/N atomic ratio, which widens light utilization, narrows bandgap, optimizes electronic band structure nitride. By introduction p-type domains were induced within n-type build internal electric field at interface, thus forming p–n boost carrier separation transfer. The ER-CNH photoanode exhibited excellent photoelectric performance water oxidation capacity. Since VP1 inhibits photoanode, open-circuit potential as-prepared PEC system reduced detecting VP1. achieved remarkably low limit (∼5 fg mL–1) displayed high stability applicability actual stool samples. research serves foundation concept constructing immunosensors detect other viruses promotes application systems life safety.

Abstract Most self‐powered electrochemical sensors (SPESs) are limited by low open circuit voltage and power density, leading to a narrow detection range sensitivity. Herein, photoinduced Zn‐air battery‐assisted SPES (ZAB‐SPES) is proposed based on cobalt sulfur co‐doped carbon nitride with the cyano group (Co, S‐CN). The functionalization remarkably enhances visible light utilization, moiety acts as an electron‐withdrawing promote electron enrichment. Co S co‐doping can create p–n homojunction within nitride, enabling efficient migration separation of carriers, thereby significantly improving performance oxygen reduction reaction. synergistic effects endow Co, S‐CN photocathode 1.85 V maximum density 43.5 µW cm −2 in ZAB. Employing heavy metal copper ions target model, ZAB‐SPES exhibited dual‐mode sensitive detection. Furthermore, portable device designed exhibits high linearity 5 ~ 600 n M limit 1.7 . This work offers method aquatic environment.

Due to the abundance and sustainability of solar energy, converting it into chemical energy obtain clean presents an ideal solution for addressing environmental pollution shortages stemming from extensive combustion fossil fuels. In recent years, hydrogen has emerged on stage history as most promising carrier 21st century. Among current methods producing hydrogen, photocatalytic production technology, a zero-carbon approach high calorific value pollution-free attracted much attention since its discovery. As core photocatalysis semiconductor photocatalysts are always research hotspots. them, graphite-phase carbon nitride (g-C3N4), organic material composed only C N elements, possesses physicochemical properties incomparable those traditional inorganic materials, including suitable band positions, easy structural regulation, inexpensive raw materials abundant reserves, simple preparation, thermal/mechanical/chemical stability, etc. Therefore, g-C3N4 in field last two decades.
