Lipid
droplets
(LDs)
are
dynamic
subcellular
organelles
that
participate
in
various
physiological
processes,
and
their
abnormality
can
also
lead
to
diseases.
Tracing
the
dynamics
of
LDs
living
cells
will
be
valuable
for
understanding
cell
states.
Here,
we
employed
a
structured
light
illumination
super-resolution
imaging
assisted
with
carbonized
polymer
dot
(CPD)-based
fluorescence
nanoprobe
track
travel
paths
other
organelles.
The
CPDs
developed
highly
biocompatible
exhibit
sensitive
response
solvent
polarity,
allowing
high
specificity
staining
cells.
Aided
by
these
nanoprobes,
successfully
observed
many
real-time
LD-involved
cells,
such
as
intracellular
LD
interactions,
communications
organelles,
behaviors
under
external
stimuli
(oxidative
stress
inducer).
These
studies
deepen
our
comprehension
role
drive
advancement
fluorescent
probes.

Fatty
liver,
a
major
health
problem
worldwide,
is
closely
associated
with
aberrant
accumulation
and
alteration
of
energy
storage
organelles,
lipid
droplets
(LDs),
in
the
disease
process.
Fluorescent
probes
excellent
optical
performance,
high
sensitivity/selectivity
real-time
monitoring
have
emerged
as
an
attractive
tool
for
detection
LDs
used
diagnosis
fatty
liver.
In
this
review,
we
summarize
various
based
on
different
response
mechanisms
to
image
liver
process
using
excitation
imaging
modes
emission
wavelengths,
including
visible
near-infrared,
two/three-photon,
second
near-infrared
region.
The
perspectives
barriers
reported
droplet
(LD)
future
development
are
also
discussed.
