Increasing concern over the safety of consumable products, particularly aquatic due to freshness issues, has become a pressing issue. Therefore, ensuring quality and products is paramount. To address this, dual-mode colorimetric–fluorescence sensor utilizing Ce-MOF as mimic peroxidase detect H2S was developed. prepared by conventional solvothermal synthesis method. catalyzed oxidation 3,3’,5,5’-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) produce blue oxidized TMB (oxTMB). When dissolved, sulfide (H2S) present in solution, it inhibited catalytic effect caused color solution fade from colorless. This change provided an intuitive indication for detection H2S. Through steady-state dynamic analysis, working mechanism this elucidated. The exhibited pronounced changes colorless, accompanied shift fluorescence none light blue. Additionally, UV–vis absorption demonstrated linear correlation with concentration, ranging 200 2300 µM, high sensitivity (limit detection, LOD = 0.262 μM). Fluorescence intensity also showed correlation, 16 320 selectivity (LOD 0.156 These results underscore sensor’s effectiveness detecting Furthermore, enhanced accuracy fulfilled requirements assessing food safety.
