Monitoring
acetylcholinesterase
(AChE)
activity
and
its
inhibitor
is
crucial
yet
challenging
for
the
early
diagnosis
treatment
of
neurological
diseases.
In
this
study,
we
present
Au
nanoparticle
decorated
CoAl
layered
double
hydroxide
monolayer
(Au@CoAl-LDH-m)
as
a
peroxidase-like
(POD)
nanozyme
sensitive
colorimetric
detection
AChE
inhibitor,
thiamine
pyrophosphate
(TPP).
Remarkably,
Au@CoAl-LDH-m
can
catalyze
oxidation
chromogenic
substrates
through
POD-like
activity,
which
effectively
inhibited
by
thiocholine
(TCh,
catalytic
product
AChE),
thereby
enabling
TPP
visible
readout.
The
approach
provides
highly
specificity
assay
with
broader
linear
response
range
(1-100
mU
mL
