Food poisoning caused by Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and its enterotoxins has become a global food safety issue. Herein, three types of Staphylococcal (SE), including SEC1, SEC2, SEC3, were successfully expressed immunized in mice to prepare monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). We screened pair mAbs 16E12-9B7 from 12 strains that could simultaneously recognize SEC3. Furthermore, the genes hybridoma cells 9B7 16E12 extracted, amplified, inserted into expression vectors obtain recombinant (rAbs), whose affinities consistent with those ascites antibodies. The paired rAbs applied gold immunochromatographic strip (GICS) system enable rapid detection SEC3 visual limits (vLOD) 2, 0.5, 2 ng/mL milk samples. Food safety remains a significant global challenge that affects human health. Various hazards, including microbiological and chemical threats, can compromise food throughout the supply chain. To address issues ensure public health, it is necessary to adopt rapid, accurate, highly specific detection methods. Immunoassays are considered be an effective method for of sensitive biochemical indicators provide efficient platform identification hazards. In immunoassays, antibodies function as primary recognition elements. Nanobodies have potential valuable biomolecules in diagnostic applications. Their distinctive physicochemical structural characteristics make them excellent candidates development reliable assays, promising alternatives monoclonal polyclonal antibodies. Herein, we summarize comprehensive overview status prospects nanobody-based immunoassays ensuring safety. First, begin with historical perspective on nanobodies their unique characteristics. Subsequently, explore definitions boundaries immunosensors, before discussing applications testing emerged over past five years, follow different highlighting advantages traditional Finally, directions challenges discussed. Due remarkable sensitivity, specificity versatility, hold great promise revolutionizing health well-being.
