Abstract An ecofriendly, effective, and selective spectrofluorimetric approach for natamycin analysis was developed using fluorescamine as a fluorogenic probe. Natamycin is the only topical ocular antifungal medication that presently on market treating keratitis, conjunctivitis, blepharitis caused by yeast other fungi. This study successfully developed a new dual-mode sensor material based on the nickel metal-organic framework (Ni-MOF) [Ni(tatrz)1.5(5-MIA)·H2O] (CUST-986) (tatrz = 1-(9-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)anthracen-10-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole, 5-MIA 5-methylisophthalic acid, CUST Changchun University of Science and Technology) for highly efficient detection 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP). In fluorescence sensing mode, CUST-986 demonstrates exceptional selective recognition capability TNP, with high quenching constant (Ksv) 1.676 × 105 M-1 an ultralow limit (LOD) 69.3 nM. electrochemical modified electrode achieves TNP 0.48 μM. Real environmental sample tests show spike recovery rates 80.3-93.6%, indicating good potential practical applications long-term stability. Through characterization techniques including powder X-ray diffraction, UV-vis, DFT calculations, lifetime measurements, mechanism electron transfer inner filter effect was elucidated. bifunctional MOF provides solution monitoring public safety applications.
