In 2021, the packaging sector emerged as largest source of plastic waste in Europe, accounting for about 40% total demand plastics. On average, an EU citizen produced 35.9 kg from packaging, with a 27% increase over last 10 years. Despite advances material efficiency and sustainability efforts, average recycling rate was around 2022, significantly lower than that paper cardboard (83.2%) metals (76.9%). The Food Beverage (F&B) is extensive user driving innovative solutions to maintain food quality safety while minimizing environmental impact. light these challenges, this comprehensive review examines expanding use within F&B management post-consumer at level.
