Purpose This study aims to construct a system dynamics model for industrial ecosystems, focusing on the sustainable development of manufacturing industry. It seeks promote coordinated among industry, society and nature by integrating interactions stakeholders, supporting institutions external environment. Design/methodology/approach utilizes data from China’s industry between 2011 2018 employs analyze key factors influencing ecosystem. Additionally, policy recommendations are proposed based synergistic effects within three distinct subsystems driving development. Findings The results demonstrate trade-off growth environmental sustainability. Financial technology import drive output innovation but increase pollution emission energy consumption. Resource recycling is reducing emissions fostering greener ecosystems. While technological adoption talent boost product growth, they fail lower impact. Macro-environmental improvements add ecological pressure. Therefore, policies should focus green technologies, resource recycling, assessments targeted funding achieve balanced Originality/value paper presents generic evaluating guiding provides valuable insights policymakers identify development, understand evolution ecosystem enhance economic sustainability at level.
