One use of CO2 as a starting material in organic transformations is the synthesis cyclic carbonates and polycarbonates. Due to low reactivity CO2, this transformation must be carried out presence an efficient catalyst. Although several catalytic systems have been developed past decade, reducing pressure at which reaction remains one main challenges process. In context, present work, we describe activity mixed metal oxides from (1 atm) epoxides 70 °C. Using these materials catalysts represents significant benefits since they are very stable, cost-effective, can reused cycles.

In this study, different commercial microfibrous fabric cloths were efficiently functionalized with polyethylenimine (PEI) and optimized respect to amine loading for adsorptive removal of CO2 from flue gas. The synthesized adsorbents characterized by various techniques such as field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), atomic force (AFM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis, tensile properties the fabrics. adsorption capacities amine-functionalized sorbents measured using a thermogravimetric analyzer. It was found that an optimal PEI 60 wt % on polyester-based cloth (PEFC) resulted in highest capacity fastest kinetics while studying effects partial pressures (in range 5–100 kPa) performance under atmospheric pressure. equilibrium PEI-loaded PEFC at 75 °C 1.60 1.93 mmol CO2/g 10% CO2/N2 gas mixture pure CO2, respectively. multicycle temperature swing adsorption/desorption also investigated simulated both dry humid conditions, it observed working uptake after 15 cycles 1.07 1.15 sorbents. Moreover, breakthrough study three flow rates single- double-layer bed configurations stream pressure shows promising results.
