ABSTRACT Here, we tried to use the natural biomass resources (lignin) modify porous organic polymers (POPs) and expected reduce preparation cost enhance adsorption performance. Specifically, surfactant‐assisted glycerol organosolv lignin (saGO lignin) was used as modified agents prepare hyper‐cross‐linked (LHCPs) by copolymerization Friedel‐Crafts reaction. We investigated effect of synthesis conditions (the types dosages crosslinkers, feeding amount lignin, so on) on structure performance LHCPs. The results showed that divinyl benzene (DVB) crosslinked LHCP‐D (1041.3 m 2 /g) higher specific areas ( S BET ) than N,N′‐methylene diacrylamide (MBA) LHCP‐M (183.1 /g), had a certain increase with increasing DVB. Intriguingly, micropore volume V micro LHCPs appeared linear decrease dosage, meanwhile, their morphology change from irregular block agglomerated spherical particles, indicated porosity can be well controlled. Rhodamine B (RhB) experiments these possessed fast rate (equilibrium time < 240 min) good recycling performance, especially, (lignin 0.5 g, DVB 1.0 catalyst 3.0 reaction 10 h) ultrahigh capacity, up 743.7 mg/g. mechanism preliminarily X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), models analysis, found physical played dominated roles π–π interaction, hydrogen bonding, electrostatic interaction. This work not only offered an important reference for high‐value utilization but also provided effective sustainable adsorbent environmental remediation.
