Abstract Hypochlorous acid (HClO), a key member of the reactive oxygen species, has an impact on both normal and abnormal functioning wide range organisms. To deeply investigate function HClO in organisms its health status, there is urgent need to develop efficient detection techniques biomedical field. Herein, highly selective sensitive hypochlorite fluorescent probe ( Py‐DA ) was designed synthesized. Photophysical property tests response behavior studies showed high‐performance turn‐on HClO/ClO − , including fast response, high sensitivity, excellent selectivity, strong anti‐interference capabilities. Significantly, emission intensity good linear relationship with concentration 0–30.0 μM, limit as low 37.8 nM. In addition, convenient on‐site rapid (∼1 s) visual identification aqueous also realized via ‐based paper strips. Furthermore, photo‐stability cytotoxicity been successfully applied for imaging human cervical cancer cells (HeLa). The results this study provide new ideas further investigation physiological pathological effects HClO.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a destructive autoimmune disease that seriously affects human health. Due to the lack of cure for RA, good prognosis largely depends on early diagnosis and effective treatment monitoring RA. Therefore, development fluorescent probes capable real-time detection RA great significance. Dual-state emission (DSE) molecules can emit light in both dilute solution solid state, making them ideal fluorophores constructing probes. However, there are currently no reports DSE molecule-based imaging. Herein, we report probe MQP-Boc based novel molecule selectively responds viscosity with sensitive fluorescence changes at 667 nm mitochondria targetable. Cell imaging studies show detect mitochondrial perform long-term mitochondria, which significantly superior control MQP-Ac. Imaging mouse model induced by λ-carrageenan has excellent capabilities Besides, MQP-Boc, significant increases joint tissue were found during process. All results indicate an new tool studying diagnosing
