Purpose Implementing green innovation is crucial for firms to build or sustain competitive advantages within the context of sustainable development goals. Academic research has broadly explored how can induce behavior (GIB), examining external factors, but few studies in current literature have deeply investigated unabsorbed slack as an internal antecedent GIB. Drawing upon behavioral theory firm and integrating it with dynamic capabilities theory, this study aims address deficiency by investigating impact on GIB mediating roles two dimensions capability reconfiguration: evolution substitution relationship between Furthermore, also discusses moderating effects consumer pressure evolution/substitution. Design/methodology/approach Survey data were collected from 286 Chinese technology-intensive manufacturing empirically test relationships among variables. Findings The results reveal that a positive influence both play Comparative analysis showed effect stronger than evolution. Moreover, strengthens Originality/value This enriches driving forces contributes providing managerial implications launch activities.

Adequately incentivizing firms to implement green technological innovation (GTI) is pivotal achieving sustainable development. Green factory certification, a prominent example of voluntary environmental regulation, has garnered significant attention in both theoretical and policy concerns regarding its impact on innovation. Leveraging certification as quasi-natural experiment, this paper utilizes multi-timepoint difference-in-differences (DID) approach systematically investigate influence firms’ The findings reveal several important insights. (1) significantly enhances capabilities, facilitating substantial enhancements the quantity quality (2) Mechanism analysis indicates that promotes via three key channels—promoting digitalization level, strengthening ESG practices, financing constraints. (3) incentive effects are particularly pronounced among eastern region, non-state-owned entities, those exhibiting lower pollution levels. These underscore critical role systems fostering corporate development, offering insights practical guidance for undergoing transformation while contributing broader goal

Specialized, Refined, Differentiated, and Innovative (SRDI) enterprises are crucial to China’s economic development. It is important examine how various factors’ combinations impact the radical innovation performance of SRDI in order promote high-quality regional Based on Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework, this study selected as research samples, used a hierarchical clustering algorithm divide into groups according characteristics enterprises, employed classification regression tree (CART) reveal complex nonlinear relationships between multiple key influencing factors from multi-source big data. The findings indicate that (1) there significant variations affecting different types enterprises; (2) stems synergistic interaction among factors; (3) R&D investment not simply linear. This effectively captures performance. great practical significance for revealing enterprises’ improvement pathways enhancing their capability.

Published: April 10, 2025

ABSTRACT The diffusion of green technologies is crucial not only for the advancement national innovation, but also promotion sustainable development. This paper empirically examines non‐linear relationship between different dimensions globalization and technology using a threshold effect model based on data from 46 countries over period 1990 to 2021. Our results show that inherently influenced by key variables, including sovereign ESG index, energy consumption structures, intensity. Specifically, positive impact diminishes as country's Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) index improves its shifts toward renewable sources. Conversely, in with higher intensity, significantly increases diffusion. In addition, this study delineates distinct roles economic, social, political globalization, revealing heterogeneous impacts across these process technologies. These findings contribute deeper understanding how can be leveraged promote technological progress.
