systematic
review
investigates
the
transformative
impact
of
algorithmic
trading
(AT)
on
efficiency
futures
markets,
integrating
insights
from
contemporary
research.
Through
examination
291
academic
publications,
predominantly
peer-reviewed
articles,
demonstrates
that
AT
generally
improves
market
by
expediting
information
processing,
reducing
bid-ask
spreads,
and
enhancing
liquidity.
However,
issues
related
to
high-frequency
(HFT)
persist,
given
its
capacity
increase
short-term
volatility
destabilise
markets
during
stress.
Moreover,
cluster
analysis
underscores
financial
as
significant
research
areas,
with
increasing
focus
GARCH
models,
investor
sentiment,
attention
metrics.
The
identified
gaps
in
existing
literature,
particularly
concerning
long-term
impacts
cross-market
dynamics,
emphasise
necessity
for
future
investigations

methodologies
