Value capture in open innovation: A literature review and a research agenda

While empirical research on open innovation initially focused value creation, there has been a growing interest in capture among academics and companies. Understanding is crucial, as the success of activities depends potential all actors involved. To provide an overview key findings guide future research, we conducted integrative literature review 69 studies innovation. When analyzing these studies, what captured, who captures it, how actor strategies influence captured collaborative activities. Our analysis identified four areas for further namely (i) broadening concepts measures value, (ii) understanding importance contextual factors capturing (iii) adopting dynamic perspective studying capture, (iv) social environmental light wicked problems.
