How to deal with grand challenges and the crisis of knowledge production their implications for entrepreneurial research practice is a topic growing interest. ABSTRACT Sustainable entrepreneurship has become a topic of increasing attention in literature, policy, and managerial practice. Yet, the connection between sustainable entrepreneurial action contextual elements associated with ecosystems which these individuals are embedded remains an elusive topic. To address this gap, we aim research to investigate how entrepreneurs combine various ecosystem create blended value (social, economic, environmental). By adopting agent‐centric perspective—data collection via questionnaires based on subjective evaluations—we able dig deeper into views concerning impacts generated by ecosystems' features. We adopt Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS‐SEM) fuzzy‐set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) techniques analyze sample that took part Innovative Research Small Business funded São Paulo Foundation, policy program designed provide seed funding support for knowledge‐intensive region. PLS‐SEM results demonstrated only social cultural factors impact creation. Complementary fsQCA provided more detailed nuanced insights complex causal relationships creation, considering three configurations exert heterogeneous effects.
