Abstract Building on recent advances in crowdsourcing research, we argue that, when using crowdsourcing, governments should accurately select the crowd they wish to engage with, depending problem be solved. Purpose Many authors have recognised multiple research gaps at empirical and theoretical levels regarding the interplay between management of intellectual capital (IC) development innovation capabilities from a strategic approach to technological opportunities, especially in knowledge-intensive business services (KIBS). This paper endeavours provide answers some these questions by relying on observations context an emergent economy. Design/methodology/approach After reviewing literature through lenses IC knowledge-based view, operationalises as formative construct explores its relationships with Technological Orientation, Innovativeness Innovative Performance. investigation employs structural equation modelling analyse data collected questionnaire sample KIBS members cross-sectional study.
