Subject. The article investigates socio-economic relations emerging in the process of formation and development regional industry clusters. Objectives. purpose study is to determine relationship between clusters sustainable Volga Federal District regions. Methods. employed content analysis with subsequent synthesis theoretical methodological provisions cluster approach concept development; standard correlation MS Excel statistical data. Results. paper summarized foundations research on as elements structure, underpinned advantages approach. It also unveiled potential regions based calculation clustering indicators; determined evaluated interrelation indicators development, according economic, social, environmental criteria; substantiated possibilities by type activity. Conclusions. enabled maintaining social sustainability region. requires comprehensive support for both financial local infrastructure, expansion investments, including "green" ones.
