Abstract Objectives This study explores and describes the lived experiences of international nursing students regarding studying challenges. Methods is a qualitative descriptive phenomenological study. Participants were undergraduate who purposively selected. The data collected through semi-structured interviews with 11 until saturation was reached. Data analyzed using seven-step Colaizzi method. Results After analyzing four main themes fourteen sub-themes extracted. “estrangement confusion in an unfamiliar environment,” “new self new situation,” “inconsistent educational structure,” “communication as multidimensional challenge.” Conclusions results this indicate need for effective interventions to transform improve learning environment students. Creating specialized curriculum recruiting experienced professors mentors teach students, instruct practical environments, are vital solutions. It advisable provide preliminary courses familiarize them culture specific issues destination country. also recommended that campuses universities worldwide review revise help better manage cultural they face when abroad care patients.

Background and aim: Research on international students conducted during the COVID‐19 pandemic has persistently highlighted vulnerabilities challenges that they experienced when staying in host country to continue with their studies. The findings from such research can inevitably create a negative image of ability respond unprecedented times. aim this study is two‐fold: (1). To provide insights into pandemic’s impact CaLD nursing students. (2). explore lived experiences overcoming pandemic. Method: A descriptive qualitative design guided by constructivist grounded theory was used study. Students were recruited via flyers posted institutional digital learning platform. Nineteen in‐depth 1 online interviews using an interview guide. Verbatim transcripts analyzed constant comparison analysis. Results: Three themes emerged collected data described participants’ experiences, (1) viewing education as pursuit better life, (2) focusing personal growth, (3) coming out ashes we rise. Discussion: highlight importance recognizing investments sacrifices families make tertiary education. also underscore acknowledging qualities have achieve self‐growth ultimately self‐efficacy stay Conclusion: Future should identify effective strategies support achieving growth self‐efficacy. This particularly important times uncertainty, pandemic, ensure studies successfully country. Recognizing made these families, well resilience, crucial for developing supportive educational policies practices.
