An efficient strategy for the construction of fused imidazole derivatives through a palladium-catalyzed isocyanide insertion reaction has been accomplished. The methodology provides an operationally simple and versatile route synthesis indeno[1,2-d]imidazole imidazo[1,2-a]indole skeletons which are rarely reported. key features protocol sequential C-C/C-C/C-N bonds via C(sp2)-H functionalization at C2- C4-position, respectively. compounds can be synthesized with diverse scaffolds, easily accessible starting materials, moderate to good yields.

Abstract Iridium‐on‐phosphorus‐doped porous organic polymers (POP−Ir) were developed by anchoring simple iridium onto the skeleton of through coordination bonds. This POP−Ir catalyst, which was thoroughly characterized means EDS, SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, and FT‐IR, revealed excellent catalytic activity for reaction diphenyl phosphinamide with benzyl alcohols borrowing hydrogen strategy acceptorless dehydrogenation wide functional group tolerance. Moreover, this catalyst could be simply recovered reused at least five times without a significant loss activity, considerable application prospects. Abstract Rational ligand design is crucial for achieving widespread applications of coordination polymers. The preparation, structural characterisation, and catalytic zirconium (IV) polymer (Zr‐IDA), which was derived from 1‐(carboxymethyl)‐1H‐indazole‐5‐carboxylic acid are reported. Zr‐IDA catalyst contains porous highly crystalline particles with a quasi‐spherical morphology around 100 nm in size, Zr coordinated both O N as shown by FT‐IR XPS measurements. Importantly, the shows great activity, selectivity stability oxidative coupling benzyl cyanides tert ‐butyl hydroperoxide to afford peresters, dehydrogenation cyclization o ‐phenylenediamines aromatic alcohols 1,2‐disubstituted benzimidazole derivatives. Mechanistic investigations were carried out study these reactions developed system more detail.
