The photooxidation of thioethers under visible-light heterogeneous and homogeneous photocatalysis methodologies is reported dealing with preparative mechanistic viewpoints the photoreactions. photocatalytic reactions involve use different metal–organic frameworks containing a wide variety metals (Zr, Bi, Ru, VO2+, In, Ag, Sn, among others) providing outstanding performances. On other hand, oxidation are based on photoorganocatalytic methodologies. Photocatalytic methods employed metal photocatalysts derived from ruthenium, iridium platinum complexes while used traditional organic photosensitizers such as triphenylamine, anthraquinone, carbazole xanthone derivatives. Triplet energy photosensitization electron transfer pathways involved in thioethers.

Abstract A facile and efficient method for the oxidation of sulfides (dialkyl, phenylalkyl, benzylalkyl) to sulfoxides under mild conditions without using any catalysts is reported. This afforded a series with good yields (>95%). The ready accessibility low cost gem-dihydroperoxides will endow it attractive applications in chemical synthesis as oxidants.

Herein, we report efficient visible light-induced photoredox reactions of C–H/N–H and C–X Bonds. These methods have provided access to varied portfolio synthetically important γ-ketoesters, azaspirocyclic cyclohexadienones spirocyclohexadienones, multisubstituted benzimidazole derivatives, substituted N,2-diarylacetamide, 2-arylpyridines 2-arylquinolines in good yields under mild conditions. Moreover, successfully discussed the construction through light-induction by an intermolecular radical addition, dearomative cyclization, aryl migration desulfonylation. Similarly, also spotlight light-catalyzed aerobic C–N bond activation from well-known building blocks elimination aromatization. The potential use a wide simple ketones available primary amines has made this transformation very attractive.
