Semen cryopreservation is a crucial technology in the artificial insemination of livestock and poultry. It not only contributes to conservation germplasm resources but also facilitates cross-regional exchange high-quality breeding stock. In this study, 165 Duroc boars were selected for genome-wide genotyping, sperm freezing/thawing motility ratio (sperm recovery rate) was used as phenotypic data association analysis (GWAS). Considerable individual variations rates (SRRs) detected, structure after cyropreservation significantly better highly freeze-tolerant individuals compared non-freeze-tolerant ones. The heritability SRR calculated found be 0.199 ± 0.158, representing low heritability. Through GWAS, eight single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) loci four candidate genes (SLC10A6, MYRF, GGA1, UTRN) identified being associated with freezing tolerance. Moreover, dominant genotypes SNPs finally determined valuable identifying high This study reveals rate identifies molecular markers tolerance boars, which great significance accelerating boar genetic improvement enhancing economic efficiency pig industry.
