In vitro cell culture systems serve as instrumental platforms for probing biological phenomena and elucidating intricate cellular mechanisms. These afford researchers the opportunity to scrutinize responses within a regulated environment, thereby circumventing ethical logistical challenges associated with in vivo experimentation. Three-dimensional (3D) cultures have emerged viable alternative mimic environments. Within this context, spheroids are recognized one of most straightforward efficacious models, presenting promising substitute conventional monolayer cultures. The application 3D fish cells remains limited, focusing mainly on physiological morphological characterization studies. However, given capacity emulate conditions, exploring diverse applications these include eco-toxicology, immunology, drug screening, endocrinology, metabolism studies, employing variety types such fibroblasts, hepatocytes, embryonic cells, gonadal gastrointestinal pituitary cells. This review provides succinct overview, concentrating frequently employed methods generating their date. aim is compile highlight significant contributions field potential future research.
