The cover and management factor (C/B factor) in the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) series models indicates effects of vegetation practices on water erosion. Remote sensing technology provides abundant data methods for C/B estimation, but applicability accuracy these can vary widely. More critically, they often overlook impact non-photosynthetic soil This study aimed to evaluate develop a more accurate cost-effective method calculating purple hilly region, focusing typical small watersheds. A correlation analysis was conducted compare four factors derived from remote data, aiming identify most suitable region. Additionally, artificial rainfall simulation tests were performed investigate relationship between photosynthetic cover, erosion, leading development relational equation integrated factors. results indicate that technical regulations dynamic monitoring erosion is regions. On this basis, effectively accounted comprehensive precise estimation factor. newly developed significantly improved calculation scientific algorithm offering valuable insights methodological framework similar studies other areas.

Soil erosion is one of the most crucial land degradation problems and considered critical environmental hazard worldwide. The present study uses remote sensing data integrated with geographical information system (GIS) technique revised universal soil loss equation (RUSLE) model for assessing annual average Digaru watershed India 1999 2020. estimated mean gross yearly from entire was 102716 t yr-1 in 178931.6 overall rate increased significantly between 2020, rising 4.73 t—ha-1yr-1 to 8.43 t—ha-1yr-1. sub-watersheds are prioritized as high (≥ 40 ha−1yr−1), moderate (20–40 low (<20 ha−1yr−1) based on spatial distribution erosion. Seven have been grouped under priority, followed by seven priority priority. This demands instant attention water conservation efforts highly eroded areas.

The composite erosion of freeze-thaw and water flow on slope rills is characterized by periodicity spatial superposition. When revealing the collapse mechanism rill sidewalls under flow, it necessary to fully consider effect migration its impact stability sidewall. In this paper, we placed self-developed test system in an environmental chamber carry out model tests sidewall slopes flow. We utilized three-dimensional reconstruction technology fixed grid coordinate method reproduce process precisely locate top crack. obtained relationship between content specimen mechanical indexes through straight shear test. main conclusions are as follows: soil structure significantly affected cycle, which benefits capillary action soil. One cycle has most serious sidewall, change moisture field more intense after temperature drops below zero. friction angle increases with number cycles tends stabilize gradually. rate at each position wall can be accurately described a logarithmic function. expression two-factor interaction fitted. propose calculation for locating cracks determining critical state instability during erosion. results research help improve accuracy combined equipment development prediction compound This great significance conservation sustainability.
