Cancer is a major global health concern and one of the leading causes death worldwide. According to World Health Organization (WHO), there an urgent need for novel therapeutic agents treat this disease. Some antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) have demonstrated activity against both microbial pathogens cancer cells. Among these, cationic AMPs (CAMPs) garnered significant attention because their ability selectively interact with negatively charged surfaces cell membranes. CAMPs present several advantages such as high specificity targeting cells, minimal toxicity normal reduced probability inducing resistance, stability under physiological conditions, ease chemical modification, low production costs. This review focuses on anticancer properties KLA, bovine lactoferricin derivatives, LTX-315, briefly explores common bioinformatics tools Anticancer Peptides (ACPs) selection pipeline from AMPs.
