Enhancing urban industrial land use efficiency (UILUE) is critical for addressing human–land conflicts and promoting sustainable development. However, the role of data trading in influencing UILUE remains insufficiently examined literature. This study explores effect factor marketization (DFM) on its underlying mechanisms. Using from 284 Chinese cities between 2006 2022, this treats establishment platforms as a quasi-natural experiment. A multi-period difference-in-differences (DID) model applied to evaluate causal impact DFM. The findings indicate that DFM significantly improves UILUE. improvement mainly occurs through technological innovation reduced resource misallocation. Furthermore, positive more pronounced with lower levels market segmentation, stricter environmental regulations, those located eastern region. offers valuable theoretical insights practical implications optimizing advancing

The transportation sector has a significant impact on climate change, as it is responsible for 20% of the global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This paper evaluates role electric vehicles (EVs) in achieving Europe’s ambitious target carbon neutrality by 2050. limitations internal combustion engines (ICEs) along with recent advancements, such Euro 6 standards, are examined pseudo–lifecycle analysis (pseudo-LCA). While ICEs remain cost-effective initially, their higher long-term cost and environmental make them unsustainable. benefits EVs, including high energy efficiency, minimal maintenance, reduced GHG emissions, stated. However, challenges range limitations, charging infrastructure, battery production persist. Hybrid (HEVs) highlighted transitional technologies, offering improved thermal efficiency enhancing air quality both urban rural areas. extends to use alternative fuels, bioethanol, biodiesel, hydrogen. These provide interim solutions but face scalability sustainability issues. Policy interventions, subsidies, tax incentives, investments renewable energy, crucial factors EV adoption. As EVs pivotal decarbonization, integrating addressing systemic essential sustainable transition.
