Over the past decade, deep eutectic solvents (DES) have been widely studied and applied in sample preparation techniques. Until recently, most of synthesized DES were hydrophilic, which prevented their use extraction aqueous samples. However, after 2015 studies on synthesis application hydrophobic (HDES) has rapidly expanded. Due to unique properties HDES i.e. density, viscosity, acidity or basicity, polarity volatility, good extractabilities for various target analytes, could be altered by careful selection hydrogen bond donor (HBD) acceptor (HBA) components, are promising alternatives traditional organic employed preparation. Moreover, possibility non-toxic ingredients, makes meet all standards green analytical chemistry. Practical applications include conventional liquid-liquid extraction, several types liquid-phase microextraction, as well solid phase extraction. The present review covers a comprehensive summarizing available literature data important physicochemical playing key role methods, limitations challenges this area, perspective future described.

Ionic liquids (ILs) as novel functional desulfurization materials have attracted increasing attentions. Metal-based ionic (MILs) are classified into three types of metal chloride ILs, oxide and complex ILs based on the definition basic structure MILs in this critical review. On basis properties such designability, super dissolution performance, good thermal chemical stability, nonflammability, wide electrochemical window, exhibit unique advantages hydrophobicity, oxidation Brönsted-Lewis acidity. Therefore, possess both absorption centers for intramolecular adsorption to improve oxidative (ODS) process. During nonaqueous wet process (Nasil), H2S can be oxidized elemental sulfur with hydrophobic MILs, which regenerated by oxygen recycle, solve problems low capacity, quality, severe secondary pollution aqueous Lo-Cat Another outstanding feature ODS is biomimetic catalysis, has function activating molecular improving performance. Metal used combination hydrogen peroxide or existing water generate a Fenton-like reaction convert organic SO2 hydrophilic sulfoxide/sulfone acid, respectively. However, corrosion Cl- equipment emulsification phenomenon extraction separation still need further study. Furthermore, promising strategies construct highly efficient green processes large-scale applications provided.

Global warming triggered by greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, particularly carbon dioxide (CO2), significantly influences climate change and has become a common environmental issue recently. The current amine-based technologies (ABTs) for CO2 capture (CAPCO2) have high energy demand, low absorption, desorption rates, are less environmentally sustainable due to emissions of volatile solvents. Therefore, the development friendly CAPCO2 materials and/or processes is growing area research. utilization ionic liquids (ILs) recently attracted attention. unique characteristics ILs, such as their vapor pressure affinity well volatility make them viable substitute existing processes.
