A low-cost method for the simultaneous extraction of alkaloids and water-insoluble flavonoids esters from Coptis chinensis Franch. (Abbrev. C. chinensis) was explored to provide a reference production green plant-based preparations traditional Chinese medicine formula granules. combined with deep eutectic solvents (DESs) choline chloride urea (molar mass ratio 1:2) organic solvent ethanol used, supplemented by ultrasonic-assisted (ultrasonic power: 150 W; ultrasonic temperature: 60 °C; treatment time: 15 min). The efficiency 50% DES (choline urea) aqueous solution berberine, palmatine, jatrorrhizine, magnoflorine found be highest superior water bath reflux methods. Furthermore, residue were extracted using ethanol. results high-performance liquid chromatography gas chromatography–mass spectrometry indicated high overall.
