This paper introduces a novel retaining wall structure that integrates traditional mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) with foamed lightweight soil (FLS) as the fill material. To evaluate performance of structure, numerical approach based on finite difference method was employed. Firstly, models were developed centrifuge test model designed by previous researchers, and results compared measured data. The close agreement between experimental values simulations demonstrates reliability validity proposed models. Subsequently, series parametric studies conducted to reveal effect key parameters newly wall. Furthermore, this proposes modified harmonic search algorithm (MHSA), which is original (OHSA), optimize design structure. indicate can effectively reduce differential settlement existing road constructed at relatively lower cost. MHSA serve practical guidebook for engineers potential users, enabling rapid efficient design.
