Remanufacturing, a crucial step of reverse logistics, focuses on restoring or enhancing the functionality waste products. The challenge in planning an effective remanufacturing logistics system lies uncertainties from various sources. In addition, evolving industrial landscape Industry 5.0 necessitates adaptability to technological advancements. This paper proposes integrated and digitalized architecture for uncertain network design. A fuzzy optimization model is first formulated identify potential configurations under varying demand-satisfying capacity constraints. These solutions are automatically converted assessed dynamic simulation environment with practical operational logic set real-world scenarios. Numerical experiments performed validate method show advantages integrating digital platform strategic planning. results, built upon previous research, indicate that while initial investments technology might be substantial, they may lead long-term reductions both costs emissions. Moreover, collaborative decision-making essential mitigate disruptions cascading effects. Our research contributes development novel decision-support underscores role digitalization future smart sustainable

The logistics sector plays one of the most important roles in supply chain with aim providing a fast, flexible, safe, economical, efficient, and environmentally acceptable performance freight transport flows. In addition, popularization concept circular economy (CE) used to retain goods, components, materials at their highest usability value all times, illustrates importance adequate reverse (RL) processes. However, traditional RL is unable cope requirements modern chains requires application Industry 4.0 technologies, which would make it more efficient. main this study was evaluate applicability various technologies order point out applicable ones. To solve defined problem, novel multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) model by combining best—worst method (BWM) obtain criteria weights, newly developed comprehensive distance-based ranking (COBRA) rank technologies. Another validate established method. results indicated that were Internet Things, cloud computing, electronic—mobile marketplaces. These will have significant impact on development establishment CE systems, thus bringing about related positive effects.

Purpose Consumers, governments and regulatory agencies are concerned about the social environmental aspect that pushes firms to move towards circular economy. The transformation of existing linear model into a depends on several economy practices. Therefore, purpose this study is identify analyse critical factors responsible for adoption Design/methodology/approach In total, 15 identified through literature review 12 finalised with grey Delphi method. Further, these prioritised using weighted aggregated sum/product assessment (WASPAS) A sensitivity analysis also conducted test robustness ranking obtained from WASPAS. Findings finding show “top management participation,” “market recovered products” “circular oriented R&D activities promotion” most significant practice adoption. These need address highest priority by stakeholders. Research limitations/implications This beneficial managers formulate their strategies prioritisation supports professionals optimise effort resources adopt practice. Originality/value explores analyses factor in supply chain context emerging economies.

In recent years, there have been frequent cases of impact on the stable development supply chain economy caused by uncertain events such as COVID-19 and extreme weather events. The creation, management, coping techniques now face wholly novel requirements a result escalating level global uncertainty. Although significant literature applies uncertainty analysis optimization modeling (UAO) to study management (SCM) under uncertainty, is lack systematic review research classification. Therefore, in this paper, 121 articles published 44 international academic journals between 2015 2022 are extracted from Web Science database reviewed using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Bibliometric CiteSpace software used identify current developments field summarize characteristics hot topics. selected classified analyzed author name, year publication, application area, country, purposes, methods, gaps contributions, results, comprehensively evaluate SCM UAO. We find that UAO widely especially decision-making, where it common practice abstractly model decision problem obtain scientific results. This hopes provide an important valuable reference future Future could combine theory with segments (e.g., emergency resilience security management), behavioral factors, big data technologies, artificial intelligence, etc.
