Abstract This qualitative case study investigation highlights deeply entrenched sustainability challenges within a multi‐tier supply chain of developing country's crop agri‐food sector. Focusing on the rice chain, reveals how Agri Processing Company Limited (APCL), operating as first‐tier intermediary, effectively launched and managed different levels intermediaries through ‘multi‐actor’ ‘multi‐level’ management approaches to extend upstream in especially lower‐tiers previously considered ‘commodities with no value’. Social networking progressive farmers played inclusive roles change agents bringing all stakeholders traditional fragmented into coordinated platform. The bottom‐up strategic approach APCL gained trust local buying firms, resulting sustainable business strategy. Increased collaboration at farming communities led transformed methodology for development intermediaries. structure mediated governance ‘multi actors’ chains revamped socio‐ecological outcomes improved living conditions economic fairness equal opportunities. transformation contributed significant advances Pakistan's industry towards development.

Abstract Although Industry 4.0 plays the role of a catalyst in transition from linear economy to circular (CE), some sustainability goals are neglected by prioritizing machines over humans. 5.0 insists on combining technology with human values achieve sustainable development goals. Therefore, integration CE and leads synergy various industries, especially manufacturing industries. However, their is always associated challenges barriers. This study identifies set these barriers electric vehicle battery production industry financial, technical, supply chain, cultural, regulatory processes perspectives through deep literature review. The fuzzy weighted influence non‐linear gauge system method used analyze relationship between identified prioritization. Finally, we leverage knowledge four experts an company Southeast Asia validate proposed approach rank results demonstrate that immature providers biggest obstacle blockchain‐based industry.

This study expands current path research, which focuses on single digital technologies and singular types of mediating factors, by synthesising the findings from existing empirical, simulation, textual content analyses to elucidate multidimensional impact mechanisms various SCR through a combination static dynamic modelling. The results identify most influential core pathways at different stages revealing evolutionary characteristics capabilities technologies. Across all research stages, blockchain technology (BCT) has highest capability for improving SCR, SC disruption (NM-Dr) is important negative factor, visibility (PM-Vis) significant positive factor. this assist supply chain managers across industries related scholars in recognising suitable potent realisation enhance SCR.
