Metal implants are preferred for orthopedics due to their strength and durability. A biodegradable metal with a density similar bone, magnesium (Mg) is being considered medical implants. This study examines the mechanical corrosive properties of Mg-1%Sn-x%HAp composites weight percentages 0, 2, 5, 7. Mechanical alloying used fabricate composites. Adding hydroxyapatite (HAp) improves corrosion resistance biocompatibility characteristics. SEM, XRD, electrochemical tests were characterization. The results showed that adding HAp improved composite resistance. SEM EDS confirmed Sn uniformly distributed in Mg. Additionally, XRD found α-Mg, Mg 2 Sn, CaSn 3 phases present composite. Density, hardness, compressive polarization test performed analyze chemical pallets. Mg-1%Sn-2%HAp have 1.744 g/cm³, close human cortical bone. Hydroxyapatite increased Vickers hardness by 26% Mg-1%Sn-7%HAp compared alloy. has 121.14 MPa ultimate greater content. enhancement brittleness decreased strain. Electrochemical studies had lowest rate (0.28568 mm/year) current (12.502 µA/cm²). Due protective apatite layer Sn-based oxides, exhibits good as orthopedic implant material.

The synthesis of MAX phases has been extensively investigated over the past two decades due to their unique mechanical and tribological properties. Theoretical calculations showed that Zr-based possess a remarkable hardness elastic modulus. Therefore, fabrication is an interesting topic. with highest content Zr 2 AlC phase can hardly obtained. Simultaneous sintering are challenging issue. In this research, was prepared through spark plasma using different stoichiometries ZrH :Al:C, at 1100°C, 1225°C, 1300°C. optimum condition for achieving high amount (69.9 wt.%) obtained by stoichiometry 2:1.3:0.95, 1300°C, 30 min. Physical properties (density, porosity, content) as well hardness, sintered samples were also XRD, SEM, EDS analysis. 2:0.8:1.2 wear resistance.

AISI304L stainless steel is an excellent corrosion resistant metal. Owing to this property they are used in applications like nuclear industry, pipelines, food processing etc where the joints made by welding. In paper, tribological performance investigated on TIG welded of 12 mm thick plates. The specimens were examined for wear using linear reciprocatory (LRT) and pin-on-disc (POD) tribometers room temperature under a constant load 9.81 N 45 min each. results LRT show that base metal SS exhibited 5% higher dry sliding rate than weld metal, but POD showed wore 45% indicated mechanisms rates varied significantly between two testing systems, highlighting importance conditions evaluating material performance. samples predominantly featured microstructure delta ferrite within austenite matrix, characterized vermicular shape due primary mode solidification.

To reduce the wear of slipper pair axial piston pump in seawater medium, a multi-level composite texture was designed by imitating surface structure natural organisms, and friction experiments were carried out using CF/PEEK 316L stainless steel. The frictional characteristics different sizes analyzed coefficient temperature curves obtained from test. mechanisms observing morphology composition after Interesting phenomena found that Toccp (two-order cone pits) exhibited better performance, with 327.8%, 50% lower than smooth Oocp (one-order respectively 53.8% 14.6% lower. first-order depth had greater influence on properties.
