Abstract This study explores the future of Urban Digital Twin (UDT) in urban planning systems developing countries, with a focus on Iran. Despite UDT's growing popularity, its implementation countries is limited. The research identifies critical factors influencing UDT development, including organisational acceptance, infrastructure, policy and legislation, technology innovation. Using futures studies approach, employs Delphi method, MICMAC (Matrix Impact Cross-Reference Multiplication Applied to Classification) technique, SISMW (Strategic Uncertainties Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats Matrix) methodologies analyse these factors. reveals that international sanctions, factors, technological infrastructure limitations hinder development However, has potential transform countries. provides roadmap for collaboration between public private sectors institutes facilitate implementation, highlighting importance legislative frameworks, digital innovation, stakeholder engagement. Policy implications suggest governments should prioritise supportive policies, investments collaborative efforts address data privacy, security, ownership issues. By addressing challenges, can leverage improve planning, resource management, quality life.

The intelligent urban transportation system is a significant component of the economic development process countries. However, one largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, and accidents may cause environmental damage due transport hazardous materials. Hence, sustainable in providing safe, environmentally friendly, modes for economies when achieving goals evaluating environmental, social, risk assessment pillars. This paper aims evaluate systems fifty global by using nine main fifty-six sub-criteria. In this paper, sub-criteria are defined economies. criteria their have never been used before assessing experts’ opinions asked deal with uncertainty generating pairwise comparison matrices specified criteria. Then, novel integrated intuitionistic fuzzy-based AHP VIKOR framework proposed assess Economic (C1), safety (C2), hazards (C3) top three weighted from results different Also, impact utilization (C5) sustainability (C8) notable, they constitute 21.6% total weight evaluation processes. several scenarios studies also presented Sweden, United States, Denmark choices based on results. Urban passenger transport is a key point in the progress of any city. It strategic area whose efficient and sustainable development requires incorporation multiple disciplines. affects territorial, social, health, economic, environmental policies, among others. In recent years, we have witnessed series changes, especially domains technology issues. The interdisciplinary nature together with these developments has produced fundamental far-reaching changes scientific production related to this field study which difficult cover traditional review literature. aim work thus conduct bibliometric analysis urban during period 2001–2021, illustrates advances made stimulate new research field. SciMAT software was used for purpose. results show conceptual evolution research, identifying seven main thematic areas: (1) health physical activity, (2) travel, (3) policy, (4) air pollution, (5) congestion, (6) social exclusion, (7) electric autonomous vehicles.

Currently, there is a growing consensus that the use of more sustainable urban freight transportation has potential to offer major energy and efficiency benefits which can be achieved through appropriate combination cargo bikes integration drones into logistics system. This study presents results stepwise regression analysis examines role, benefits, impact electric vehicles such as e-bikes, bikes, for intermodal in five Greek cities support green paradigm. The show between routes almost equal length, most bicycle-friendly routes, along pedestrian areas or residential streets, should avoided, they reduce delivery speed increase costs terms time expenditure. In addition, priority roads, usually have higher traffic speeds trucks, are preferred by cyclists due quality road surface, even though feeling safety lower on roads. Finally, regarding drones, consumption relatively low 0–5 mph 6–10 wind ranges, indicating efficient use. 11–15 16–20 significantly than battery capacity, drone exhibits excessive under these conditions.

This study aims to investigate the different behaviors with respect safety measures related interaction of e-scooters and bikes cars in mixed traffic. E-scooters are relatively new vulnerable road users, their behavior is still not fully understood. For this purpose, an observational was carried out at unsignalized at-grade intersection city Catania, Italy. A total 128 interactions between 89 were detected. Specifically, two surrogate used, time collision (TTC) post encroachment (PET), which relate “crossing” “following” bikes/e-scooters. The results show that 50% “crossings” involving close low TTCs representing high risk (TTC < 1.5); meanwhile, for e-scooters, same threshold TTC relates percentiles more than 80%. In addition, 60% characterized by PET values a potentially (PET 1.0 s). provide useful starting point elaboration adaptation regulations traffic conditions including currently being introduced several countries rules. It should be noted intrinsically transport mode from bicycle, mainly because they prone higher closer interactions.

(3) level depend on their level? study covered 16 subregions Poland from 2010 to 2020. A spatial dynamic exploration relationships phenomenon was carried out. Panel models vector autoregression panel causality testing used. influence regions confirmed. link process identified. An additional effect noticed (novelty knowledge), i.e., is a delayed area (polyconvergence).
