To encourage transport, it is important for cities provide safe accessible infrastructure pedestrians cyclists, as well incentives individuals choose modes over private vehicles. this research, we focused on suburb Point Cook, located within City Wyndham Melbourne’s west, owing its rising human population vehicle ownership. The primary aim research examine barriers interconnectivity networks cyclists determine segments network that are not Cook residents. Our methodology enshrined use Social Pinpoint, which an online interactive survey platform, ground surveys (face-to-face interviews). our assessment utilised concept 20-min neighbourhoods evaluate accessibility many places 800-metre walking distance from residents’ homes. Based findings, approximately one-third engaged regular walking, with frequency ranging once day every two days. One-third participants trips or twice week, whereas remaining two-thirds conducted less frequently than week. Almost 89% expressed varying levels interest increasing their frequency. findings showed improving pedestrian cycling easily accessible, well-integrated, inclusive, prerequisite achieving create everything distance.

Abstract Ride-hailing services, such as Uber and Lyft, have become integral to urban transportation systems, offering convenience flexibility local residents. However, the expansion of these services can contribute congestion efficiency problems, particularly in densely populated cities like San Francisco. This study investigates potential information sharing between ride-hailing service providers mitigate enhance operational efficiency. By leveraging BEAM (Behavior, Energy, Autonomy, Mobility) simulation platform, we model various scenarios which Lyft either cooperate by data or operate independently. The examines key metrics passenger waiting time, vehicle repositioning, impact surge pricing on user welfare supplier profit. Our findings suggest that strategic cooperation reduce times improve resource allocation, though it may also lead a reduction profits due decreased effectiveness pricing. results significant implications for policy optimization operations, highlighting trade-offs benefits profitability collaborative framework. Future research should explore long-term societal impacts cooperation, including its effects traffic overall social welfare.

Abstract Ride‐hailing services pose significant security challenges for passengers, underscoring the need effective risk monitoring. While extensive research has addressed various aspects of ride‐hailing, few studies specifically focus on passenger This paper introduces onSecP, an online approach designed to monitor risks faced by ride‐hailing passengers using human geography data. onSecP comprises two phases that set it apart from conventional anomalous trajectory detection methods. First, employs model LCSS‐Kmeans‐Geoinformation technique, which identifies and scores trajectories. Second, utilizes a multi‐parameter evaluation enhanced AHP‐Entropy‐Cluster weighting method perform real‐time calculations integrating factors such as driver characteristics, trip details, geographical environment, anomaly scores, abnormal stop duration, information. Our leverages diverse data sources, including information, Point Interest (POI) well optimal route AMap, Global Positioning System (GPS) data, expert assessments, demographic surveys. Experimental evaluations demonstrate effectively differentiates between unsafe trips normal or trajectories, thereby significantly improving monitoring passengers. Consequently, offers robust tool enhancing warning systems.
