Abstract Rapid AI development has significantly changed education. This study explored factors influencing educators' over-reliance on AI, the consequences of dependency, and strategies to balance use in higher A qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews focus groups collected data from 46 diverse participants. Thematic analysis revealed driving dependency—including academic reputation, self-efficacy, institutional policies—and such as skills atrophy, procrastination, social fragmentation. Findings suggest hybrid intelligence balanced teaching can be beneficial. Limitations include a small sample, future research should target larger, more populations.

Creative writing instruction plays a crucial role in developing students’ linguistic and cognitive abilities. However, challenges such as lack of engagement, difficulty idea generation, limited stylistic diversity hinder students from fully expressing their thoughts. Artificial intelligence (AI) offers promising solution to enhance quality creativity. This study aims develop an AI-assisted creative framework by integrating GPT-4 with Innovative Locust Swarm Optimization (ILSO) generate more engaging, coherent, stylistically rich text tailored levels. A dataset student-written essays, novels, poetry was collected for training. Pre-processing techniques, including normalization tokenization, were applied refine the input text. Feature extraction performed using Word2Vec embedding semantic understanding. generates adaptive suggestions, while ILSO optimizes model hyperparameters coherence, creativity, narrative flow. The optimized adapts individual styles, offering dynamic suggestions that encourage creativity maintaining fluency. algorithm fine-tunes generation process enhancing structuring thematic consistency. proposed method implemented Python 3.10.1. Experimental results demonstrate GPT significantly improves coherence scores, variation, consistency, proficiency, engagement rates. concerns regarding AI dependency originality necessitate balanced integration traditional pedagogy. provides foundation future AI-driven instruction, potential extensions real-time feedback systems self-learning mechanisms personalized enhancement.
