Optimizing structural designs, especially for complex systems like turbine blade cooling structures, requires efficient strategies handling categorical configurations alongside computationally expensive simulations. This article presents a Bayesian optimization strategy tailored integrated tasks involving and high-dimensional continuous design variables. A Gaussian process with Con-Cat kernel is proposed in order to merge response datasets from diverse effectively, capturing inter-configuration intra-configuration correlations seamlessly. Additionally, supervised dimension–reduction scheme developed based on subspace activation, utilizing half-Cauchy distribution. Remarkably, the represents generalization of standard kernels, achieving equivalence scenarios solely The activation enhances surrogate modelling performance without introducing extra model parameters, which particularly beneficial sparse datasets. Numerical evaluations, including three mathematical functions, supported beam problem, structure optimization, demonstrate superiority strategy, exhibiting up an 85% improvement over five alternative approaches, data.

Crashworthiness is a passive device that has an important function as absorbing component of the impact energy resulting from accidental event. The main problem in crashworthy design dimensional limitation on front end vehicle with driver so most absorption limited. Besides, complexity crashworthiness difficult to make conventionally. This research aims find out effectiveness and deformation patterns. Crashwortines are made multi-cell shape using PLA material printed 3D printing raise machine. produced four variation shapes Multi-cell circle (MCC), Multi-Cell square (MCS), Multicell pentagonal (MCP), circles (MCPC) side thickness 2 mm length 150 mm. Experimental quasi-static testing carried frontal direction UTM machine at operating speed 2mm/s. results study show crash box pentagon significant increase value 62.49%, which can be recommended future resistance tube designs. characteristics pattern failure tend form bending lamina failure. Failures occur due plastic fold, elastic bend, pressure mechanisms followed by new folding formations (lobes).
