As China’s second operational Geostationary Interferometric Infrared Sounder, Fengyun-4B/GIIRS can provide temporally and spatially continuous atmospheric temperature profile (ATP) humidity (AHP) information, which be used in cold wave monitoring other meteorological applications. In this study, radiosonde observations ERA5 reanalysis are to assess the quality of ATP AHP products released by National Satellite Meteorological Centre (NSMC). The results as follows: (1) Compared Fengyun-4A/GIIRS, due improvement instruments, usability is enhanced, influence clouds land surfaces reduces its under clear-sky conditions below 900 hPa. (2) current quality-flagged algorithm identify with different accuracies well, providing beneficial information users. Taking a reference, RMSEs best (with flag “very good”) around 1.5K 2 kg/kg, respectively, better than those Fengyun-4A/GIIRS product. (3) reanalysis, coefficients retrieval algorithm, systematic overestimation underestimation occur for product cloudy-sky conditions, respectively. (4) biases have significant dependence on satellite zenith angles when larger 50°, but smaller negligible.
