Most of the global population lives in urban areas, which also serve as hubs economy, industry, and government activities. Various factors that affect quality cities have been studied different locations. This article reviews various papers examine environmental indicators areas can be extracted from remote sensing data. The first aspect is vegetation cover, known index normalized difference (NVDI), second surface temperature, land temperature (LST). In this work, conditions countries are compared with Indonesia based on these indicators. It found NDVI LST widely used to analyze conditions. has a negative correlation temperature. Research on the temporal and spatial changes of urban heat island effect can help us better understand how urbanization, climate change, environment are interconnected. This study uses a spatiotemporal analysis method that couples Emerging Hot Spot Analysis (EHSA) technique with Mann–Kendall technique. The is applied to determine intensity in humid subtropical climates over time space. data used this research include thermal bands, red band (RED) near-infrared (NIR), Landsat 7 8 satellites, which were selected from 2000 2022 for city Sari, an Iranian Caspian Sea. Pre-processed spectral bands ‘Google Earth Engine’ database estimate land surface temperature. temperature difference between outer buffer (1500 m) was modeled simulated. results paper show accuracy novelty using Hotspot evaluate vegetation cover intensity. Based Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), city’s increased by approximately 0.30 °C 2011 compared 2001 2010. However, decreased during period, r = −0.42, so average −0.031 °C/decade decrease has been experienced. methodology be transferred other cities role green spaces reducing stress budget based historical observations.

Tunnels serve as vital arteries in the realm of transportation and infrastructure, facilitating seamless flow movement across challenging terrains. With increasing demand experienced by traffic network on Tibetan Plateau, deep-buried, lengthy tunnels have become one extremely important types roads for local residents to pass through. Geological disaster susceptibility mapping hybrid models has been proven be an effective means reduce losses caused disasters a large area. However, there relatively little research conducted tunnel areas with significant human activity. To explore feasibility conducting geological assessment areas, we chose Atal Tunnel study project; strategic passageway, this exemplifies hurdles encountered Plateau. Employing multi-source remote sensing data, meticulously mapped distribution identified nine environmental variables pivotal evaluation. We harnessed interpretable ensemble learning assess susceptibility, comparing efficacy four distinct models: weight evidence method (WoE), frequency ratio (FR), logistic regression (LR) support vector machine (SVM). The precision our findings was rigorously tested using metrics such percentage area encompassed within each risk level, Area Under Curve (AUC) value, Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve, all results were highly accurate. Notably, WoE-LR model achieved superior performance, boasting impressive accuracy rate 90.7%. Through interpretation, discerned that alignment road line is most critical determinant evaluation underscoring high model. extension successful application plateau hold profound implications sustainable development. Moreover, practical these will provide reference design construction projects similar positive outcomes extend well beyond immediate geographical projects.
