Urban
parks
are
very
important
in
promoting
physical,
mental,
and
social
well-being
by
providing
recreational
spaces
for
relaxation,
exercise,
community
interaction.
However,
the
adequacy
effectiveness
of
these
benefits
rapidly
urbanizing
cities
like
Lagos,
Nigeria,
remain
questionable.
This
study
evaluates
urban
their
impact
on
user
Ikeja,
Alimosho,
Eti-Osa,
Badagry
Local
Government
Areas.
Using
a
quantitative
research
approach,
primary
data
were
collected
through
surveys,
statistical
analysis
was
conducted
using
SPSS.
Findings
reveal
that
while
positively
influence
well-being,
underutilization
is
linked
to
poor
accessibility,
inadequate
maintenance,
safety
concerns.
A
majority
(78.4%)
respondents
rarely
visit
parks,
only
31.1%
perceive
as
positive.
Also,
significant
correlation
(r
=
0.335,
p
<
0.01)
found
between
level
park
maintenance
people's
sense
safety,
underscoring
importance
improved
facility
upkeep.
The
concludes
improving
security,
diversity
essential
maximizing
public
health
benefits.
Recommendations
made
from
this
include
policy
reforms,
increased
involvement,
more
effective
management
strategies
enhance
functionality
all.
